Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of the India in 2018, released Samagra Shiksha as an Integrated Scheme for School Education. Samagra Shiksha has appeared by the integration of - Centrally Sponsored yojanao of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE).
Samagra Shiksha aims to give inclusive and equitable quality education to all kids from the age of 4 to 18 years and at all levels of school education from Pre -school to Senior Secondary in the nation in accordance with UN Sustainable Development aims (SDG-4) for Education.
In the Gujarat Samagra Shiksha project is being applied by Gujarat Council of School Education (GCSE). It focuses on assuring inclusive and equitable quality education from pre-school to higher secondary stage in accordance with the durable Development Goal (SDG) for Education.
Gujarat Council of School Education (GCSE) has develop from an agency for implementing many different projects in school education sector in the state.
Under Samagra Shiksha, all the 33 districts and 4 Municipal Corporations in Gujarat are being included .
Decentralized Management structure is adopted for impressive implementation of the projects.
