Useful Updates for Election 2022

Important information for Election. Taking forward its continuous efforts of building an active democratic citizenry in the country, Election Commission of India has undertaken a new initiative by designing a Mobile Application to show information published by candidates during nomination regarding their criminal antecedents, so that at one stroke, each voter gets such information on his/her mobile phone.

The app provides following facilities to Indian voters:
(1) View all candidates who filled nomination
(2) View candidate’s details
(3) View candidate’s affidavit including criminal antecedents
(4) Search Candidate by Name
(5) Know Your Candidate

The Election Commission of India has developed Know your Candidate (KYC) Applications for both Android and iOS platforms for informing about “Criminal Antecedents” status of candidates. This allows citizens to browse candidates with/ without Criminal Antecedents and empowers the citizens to know the criminal antecedents of the candidates. Source 2017 link

MATADAR YADI SUDHARNA KARYKRAM ANE KHAS JUNBESHNA DIVASO 2022

Election Commission of India, New Delhi's letter no. 23/202109 - from ERS dated 07/08/2020  with reference to the eligibility date of 01.01.2021, a special brief correction program of voters with photos has been announced.  

Accordingly, detailed instructions have been given regarding the special brief correction program of the voter list-206 1 from the corresponding letter dated 10/08/2020 and dated 11/09/2020.  As per the revised program approved by the Election Commission, the period for accepting claims and objections has been fixed from 09/11/2020 (Monday) to 15/12/2020 (Tuesday) and publication of the draft of the consolidated electoral roll on To be done on 11/207 (Monday).  

VOTER LIST UPDATION AND REFORM PROGRAMME

According to the program of special brief correction of voter list starting from 09/11/2020 in 174 assembly constituencies included in the state (except 8 assembly constituencies under by-election) on 22/11/2020 (Sunday), 29/11/2020.  (Sunday) 06/12/2020 (Sunday) and 13/12/2020 (Sunday) days have been decided to be held as special campaign days.  

The following are the days of this special campaign.  

Special arrangements should be made by the designated officer to be present at the polling station from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm to accept claims and objections. 

 On the day of the special campaign, 

the designated officer will accept the forms, check the details of the voters from the draft, check the draft with the help of BLA, find out if there is any defect and take ancillary action and report to the ERO / AER on the evening of each special campaign day.  

 On this day, the supervisor will make regular visits to each of the locations under the jurisdiction and provide necessary supervision and guidance and report to the ERO / AERO of each part in the evening.  

District Election Officer, Voter Registration Officer and Assistant Voter Registration Officer will have to visit the designated locations at random.  

The District Electoral Officer shall ensure that the detailed guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, and the guidelines issued from time to time by the Government of India / State Government to prevent the transition to Covind 19 are strictly followed on the day of the special campaign.  

Detailed instructions to be kept in mind on special campaign days are requested to give necessary instructions to all the concerned officers including booth level officers, assistant voter registration officers of all the assembly constituencies in your district.
