Regarding the admission of students in Model School and Model Day Schools for the academic year 2022-23.


Following are the guidelines for admission in Model School for the next academic year 2022-23. As the entrance examination in the model school is not possible as per RTE Act, the students will have to prepare the merit list on the basis of their previous standard marks and give admission (for admission in standard-6, make merit list on the basis of standard-5 marks, standard for admission in standard-9 - Making merit list on the basis of 8 marks will be followed for other standards as well) in which children who have obtained more than 60% marks in both first semester and second semester examinations will have to be nominated in Model School and Model Day School.


Admission has to be given in the limit of 80 (two classes) students per class in the upper primary in the model school. Admission will not be more than 120 per class in standard 9 to 12 (maximum 40 students per class in two class and model day school standard 6 to 8) and 60 students per class (standard 9 to 12). .


 In the educationally backward talukas where there are model schools and model day schools, the students of the same taluka will have to be given first admission.


Girls admitted in KGBV Type-4 (Girls Hostel) should be admitted in model schools without considering the standard of merit. The maximum number of students per class should be taken into consideration.






Students will have to be admitted as per the reservation of the district fixed by the state government and in this regard the existing rules of the social welfare department will have to be followed.


If the number of students for the reserved space is not sufficient then the students of other categories will have to be admitted from the merit list.


The accreditation of the school from which the students come for admission should be obtained from the office of the Director of Primary Education if it is a primary school and from a secondary / higher secondary school if it is as per the provision specified by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.


According to the merit list, the parents of the eligible students should be informed by letter and telephone and they should be asked to give a letter of guarantee within the time limit. If he does not get admission (does not give guarantee letter) within the stipulated time limit (01/06/2022) then admission will be considered as cancellation. The process of admitting students from the waiting list will have to be done against those who do not get admission within the stipulated time. for more read letter, given below.
